  Social Security Retirement Benefits
    This government web site provides multiple calculators to assist you in calculating your social security retirement benefits.
     
  Federal Estate Taxes
    The Estate Tax is a tax on your right to transfer property at your death. The includable property may consist of Cash and Securities, Real Estate, Insurance, Trusts, Annuities, Business interests and other assets. As of January 1, 2020, if your Federal Gross Estate has a total value of less than $11,580,000, your estate may not be required to file an estate tax return. (Note that you will still be required to file a Massachusetts estate tax return if your estate is over $1,000,000.)
     
  AARP
    AARP is an organization focusing on retired or near-retired persons. They focus on issues of importance to those over 50 years of age including Medicare, Medicaid, Medigap, Long-term care, social security, financial planning, end-of-life, frauds and scams, technology, retirement, and others.
     
  Medicare

  Elder Law
    There are two groups of Elder Law Attorneys whose web sites are of interest. The national group is NAELA - the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. On their web page, you will find articles on living wills, how to find an elder law attorney, and much more.

The other web site of interest is the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (MANAELA). On this web site, you will find information on elder law, elder law attorneys, a list of anti-psychotic medications, and more.
